The
District 6 Mission Statement
******* H1N1 UPDATE 11 November 2009 *******
At the moment CVMC Employee Health has both the nasal and the injectible H1N1 vaccine available. Supplies are still tight, especially for the injectible form,
and deliveries of more vaccine are unpredictable. CVMC continues to prioritize H1N1 vaccine administration to those at highest risk due to patient contact.
District 6 EMS personnel are treated as CVMC employees and included in the highest priority group. Since the injectible vaccine is less available,
anyone in good health and under 50 will be given the nasal vaccine. District 6 EMS personnel who want the vaccine can contact the CVMC Employee
Health Office at 371-4323, daytimes Monday - Thursday. The Employee Health RN is off site on Fridays.
So far, 67 doses of vaccine have been delivered to the approximately 300 District 6 EMS personnel - about 22%.
Any EMS personnel who are vaccinated from now on should contact me to let me know so that we can keep track.
